Since 2022, MWEB lets LTC move with confidential amounts inside extension blocks. Wallets that support it rely on a node that validates the MWEB data — running your own means those confidential balances rest on your CPU's word, not an API's. It's enabled by default in Litecoin Core: your node checks both chains, transparent and confidential, from block one.
